How to Make Healthy Berry Crumble Bars
Step 1: Prep the Filling
In a small saucepan over medium heat, cook the berries, chia seeds, maple syrup, and lemon juice until the mixture thickens. This takes about 5 minutes. Let it cool while you prepare the crust.
Step 2: Make the Crust
In a bowl, mix ChiChi oats, rolled oats, melted butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt until the mixture is crumbly.
Step 3: Assemble the Bars
Press half of the oat mixture into a 5x5-inch lined baking dish. Spread the berry filling evenly on top, then sprinkle the remaining crumble over the berries.
Step 4: Bake & Enjoy!
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool before slicing into bars.
