ChiChi Tacos

Chi(Chi)cken Tacos

A soy-free, vegan taco meat alternative can be made with Original ChiChi.


  • 1/3 cup Original ChiChi
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Taco shells or tortillas
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, avocado slices, cilantro etc.


1. Prepare the ChiChi Taco Filling: In a non-stick pan or skillet, add 1/3 cup of Original ChiChi and taco seasoning mix. Set to medium heat. 

2. Cook the ChiChi: Over medium-heat, slowly cook ChiChi mixture by adding water 1 tbsp at a time, stirring well after each addition. Continue cooking and stirring until the water is absorbed and mixture resembles the texture of ground chicken or beef.

This should take about 5-7 minutes. Adjust the amount of water as needed to achieve the desired consistency.

3. Assemble the ChiChi Tacos: Add your ChiChi filling to your favorite tortillas and top with your taco toppings of choice!
